Dissolution System Dissolution System-DS BIOAT Automatic Reciprocating Cylinder- is a dissolving testing to pharmaceutical laboratories, made easier. The integration of a reciprocating cylinder dissolution system and a fully automated sampling workstation conveniently meets all requirements of major pharmacopoeias like USP, Chinese Pharmacopoeia, and European Pharmacopoeia.
The system contains a hollow transparent cylinder, which is mesh-fined on the two extremities, samples are placed within, heads sealed and turned to be reciprocated in controlled gentle up-and-down motion through dissolution medium- with this motion combined with the added shear forces induced, as the medium flows through the system, closely mimicking the actual drug dissolution process. Therefore, it is ideal for studying sustained release, targeted release, and enteric-coated formulations.
